CONTACT Software forgoes Digital Factory participation
Focus on joint events and workshops with customers and partners
Bremen, January 29th 2007 – for the first time since its foundation in 1990, CONTACT Software GmbH, supplier of solutions for CAD data management, product data management (PDM) and product lifecycle management will neither participate in the CeBIT nor the Hannover Messe. For CONTACT CEO Karl Heinz Zachries, the continuously decreasing interest in these exhibitions is a direct outcome of more and more companies using the internet as a primary source of information gathering.
‚As we have experienced, the hitherto exhibition concept is not valid any more. The Deutsche Messe AG is challenged to stop this deplorable development with a convincing concept. I would still appreciate an attractive meeting point with a clear profile for industry experts to present our product innovations” – so his conclusion. “In demand are events which are specific to a certain industry or tasks. The excellent feedback on our Automotive Symposium in November 2006 supports our view.”
Consequently, in 2007, besides its established regional PDM/PLM workshops and information days at customer sites, CONTACT will offer further topic-centred events. Planned are –amongst others- joint workshops with partner Softlab GmbH on ‘Collaborative Engineering with CATIA V5’. Further information concerning events and content may be found here.
